Ashley Jones was born on September 3, 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent her first five years in Memphis, until her family moved to Texas due to her father’s preaching work. When she was five years old, Ashley Jones made her first commercial. She became involved with theater at nine years old, and as well continued her stints in various commercials and print ads which were shown on national television. Her love for stage led her to be part of the Actors Theatre of Houston, and she was also able to bag starring roles in plays such as The Women, Ah Wilderness, and Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs.
At the age of fifteen, Ashley Jones started acting on film and television, starting off with the mini-series Fire Next Time. Because of her acting prowess, she was nominated in the prestigious Youth in Film Awards. She then moved on to appear in the first season of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, which was followed by the popular TV soap, The Young and the Restless. While at work, Ashley Jones managed to finish her BA degree in Pepperdine University. While playing her role in The Young and the Restless, she was twice nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress Award at the Emmys in 1999 and 2000.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Ashley Jones continued her acting work on stage by doing a production of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal at the Rait Theatre in Malibu and the comedy Writer’s Block in 2003. She also took part in films such as the comedy Old School opposite Luke Wilson and Will Farrell, Devil’s Prey, The King’s Guard, and Extreme Dating.
